The new freedom comes by hot air balloon
Soap bubbles, hot air balloons, wind-eggs and castles in the air have one thing in common. They are hollow, quickly bursting, to leave but air in the hand – that is: nothing. Promises of peace by governments and hopes of men for Freedom are equally often demonstrated to be soap bubbles, which burst on hitting an obstacle into all the colors of the rainbow. Often a uniform changes but color, with the people retaining emptiness in victory. Sometimes people are given gifts after a power switch, which they don`t know how to use, a new culture with the motto eat or be eaten. It`s also the case that the new freedom is almost always brought with tanks. On the left side of the picture we can recognize this tank, as it falls from an airy height via parachutes – or air balloons - floating over a high plateau in Afghanistan. So the people are less frightened of the tanks and to make them believe in the good intentions of the tank-drivers simultaneously they throw Care packets from the sky. In the foreground we see three Afghani women, who have found such a food package. The national flag shows who sent the present. Only the three women don`t know what they can or should do with this package. They`ve never seen such a yellow plastic bag before in their lives and the writing is in a language they can`t read. Should this be the new freedom they`ve heard of in the radio?
